The History of the Doggy Daycare

The doggy daycare Potefryd was established in 2015 by Lise and Claus, who got the idea when they themselves felt a need for a dog daycare after they got a puppy. An alternative for the puppy to spending eight hours a day alone while they were at work. Plus, in a doggy daycare, their puppy could also meet other puppies so he could be socialized and activated.

The doggy daycare has since become a wonderful space for many different dogs of all ages and sizes.  Since the beginning, we have had over 50 different dog breeds, and it provides a broad knowledge for those who work here as dog sitters.

In August 2019, Lise and Claus sought other challenges, so the dog owners took over and turned Hundehaven Potefryd into an association.  If you come with your dog to the doggy daycare today, you will be part of an association and a community where you can have a lot of influence on your dog's everyday life in the daycare.

 

At the doggy daycare Potefryd there are four employees: Anette, Malene, Ida and Stine, who are dog sitters. In addition, we have a lot of volunteers and trainees who also work as dog sitters.

All work other than caring for the dogs is voluntary and done by the members. It can be practical tasks such as arranging lectures in the daycare or events such as Dog March, Animal Day in Bilka, etc. It can also be contacting sponsors, doing marketing, handing out flyers…. it is only the imagination that sets the limits, and of course how much you feel like and have time for.
